Automation Engineer / Consultant (m/f/d)

At automatics.AI, we develop solutions that help companies automate and secure their SAP systems – from security and compliance to operational resilience. Our clients range from medium-sized businesses to enterprise companies and public sector clients.


To further accelerate our growth in the DACH market, we are looking for an Automation Engineer / Consultant who will implement customer-specific automation solutions and actively contribute to the development of our software platform.

Your mission

You combine technical engineering with solution-oriented consulting. You analyze our customers' requirements, design viable automation concepts, and implement them using modern tools on our platform. You always keep quality, safety, and reusability in mind.

YOUR AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Analysis of customer requirements and technical framework conditions

  • Conception and implementation of customer-specific automation solutions

  • Development and maintenance of Ansible Playbooks and Collections

  • Development and maintenance of automation scripts using Bash and PowerShell

  • Possibly developing Ansible modules with Python

  • Integration of automation logic into our software platform

  • Connecting and integrating external systems via APIs and webhooks

  • Implementation of operational, security, and compliance automations in the SAP Basis environment

  • Contributing to automation standards, best practices, and reusable modules

  • Conducting tests and creating technical documentation

  • Supporting the support team with complex customer and product cases together with customers and partners at home and abroad.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Successfully completed education (HTL, (technical) university studies) or similar professional experience

  • Several years of experience in IT automation, DevOps or systems engineering

  • Excellent knowledge of:

    • Ansible

    • Bash and/or PowerShell

  • Good knowledge of:

    • REST APIs & Webhooks

    • Ideally Python (e.g. for automation logic, scripts or modules)

  • Experience in the operating system environment (Linux, Windows) and a basic understanding of large and complex IT landscapes, ideally with reference to SAP systems.

  • Structured, analytical work style and a high level of quality awareness

  • Enjoyment of working on technical solutions and collaborating with customers

  • Communication and teamwork skills

  • Excellent German and English skills, both spoken and written.

Collective agreement IT KV 2025, starting salary EUR 3,843. Overpayment possible depending on qualifications.
